How it started

It all started when a group of friends sharing a common idea formed a CITIZEN(charitable trust),with the objective of giving thrust to the cause of blood donation and Thalasaemia.

Think Foundation was established with the objective of giving a stucture to the activities of CITIZEN,so that it could be sustained,scaled up and replicated elsewhere in the country.

Their Mission:

We would like to ensure that safe blood is available to those in need. This we hope to achieve by : 1.Ensuring 100% voluntary blood donation 2.Ensuring rational use of blood 3.Reducing the need for blood. 4.Networking between blood banks

Blood Donation gives a proud feeling of touching someones life in such a beautiful way. It is an experience that no words can describe. Think foundation coordinate and collect more blood than any other non Governmental organisations in Mumbai.

Thalasaemia Minor: You could be a Thalassaemia Minor even if you are healthy. Every youngster must do a test for Thalassaemia Minor. The foundation run programme for prevention of Thalassaemia Major by creating awareness and a facility for testing of Thalassaemia Minor.

Platelet Donation may be time consuming. But it is easier on the body than blood donation. And absolutely lifesaving. The foundation cordinate Life Savers Club,the only club of its kind in India.

Thalasaemia Major
Thalassaemia Major is a serious, genetic blood disorder which affects more than 100,000 children in India. The foundation provides holistic care for the children suffering from Thalassaemia Major.
