BLACK SCREEN: We start on a pitch black screen. After a few seconds, we begin to hear a low growling noise which slowly gets louder and louder before stopping suddenly. We then here a low whispering voice begin to speak. VOICE(O.S.) We know... FLASH TO: HIGH SCHOOL - EXTERIOR - DAY We open on the image of a large, nice looking school. The school yard is filled with lush green grass and thick, tall trees with deep green leaves covering the branches. The song "AERIALS" by SYSTEM OF A DOWN begins to play as we hear a bell ring and the front doors of the school bust open with life. We watch as a huge crowd of teenagers comes running out of the building and we hear the sounds of laughing and many different conversations going on at once as the music begins to fade. After the crowd begins to disappear we zoom in on the doors of the school as they burst open again and we see two boys come walking out. We see CALEB JAMES(16, tall, dyed black hair, looks like the "bad boy" type)reach into his pocket and pull out a pack of cigarettes. We watch as he opens the pack and hands one to CJ HANES(16, tall, black hair with blue streaks, also the "bad boy" type)who immediately puts the cigarette into his mouth and lights it. We watch as the two boys make their way across the school yard and onto the sidewalk before we see a tall, balding man with glasses come running up behind them. MAN What do you two think your doing? We watch as Caleb and CJ turn slowly and look into the face of the clearly irritated man. CJ Hey! Whats up Mr. Doyle? MR DOYLE (angry) What are you thinking!? Smoking on school property? We watch as Caleb looks down at his feet before pointing to the ground. CALEB Hmm.. I didnt realize the sidewalk was school property? But it isnt is it? Were on city property Dan. (CONTINUED)

We watch as Caleb takes another hit of his cigarette and blows it in his teachers face. We watch as Mr Doyles face grows red with anger. MR DOYLE First off, its Mr. Doyle to you. And seconds.. if you two little shits want to smoke yourselves to death then go right ahead. Just dont do it here. We then see a smile spread across CJs face as he brings his hand to his head in a salute. CJ Yes sir! No dying on school property sir! Caleb lets out a laugh before he and CJ turn and begin to walk away. Caleb then looks over his shoulder and flicks the cigarette back in the direction of the school. CALEB See ya in the fall Dan. INT: HANES RESIDENCE - 2 HOURS LATER We open in a small, messy looking bedroom with punk rock posters on the walls and empty soda cans covering a small computer desk in the corner. We then see Caleb sitting on an old looking couch with holes in the fabric and CJ laying on a bed across from it. We then focus on the television to see the Jill Roberts pull off her mask at the end of Scream 4. CALEB Dude she is so fucking hot. CJ Yeah dude.. but is it just me.. or does she get SOOO much hotter the second she goes all psycho killer? A small laugh escapes Calebs lips. CALEB Its not just you. Its weird to say... but she totally does. She goes from this nice, innocent victim type to a crazy bitch. There is a second of silence before we see CJs eyebrow raise and he begins to talk again.

CONTINUED: CJ She kind of reminds me of you. Caleb turns to CJ and gives him a strange look. CALEB Umm.. Im sorry.. but your not my type. We hear a laugh escape CJs mouth CJ No.. I mean how you used to be this goodie goodie kind of kid. I used to think you were just a big pussy until you Da...

Just then we hear the sound of air breaks hissing. Caleb jumps to his feet and walks over to the window. He grabs hold of the curtains and pulls it open to reveal a large yellow truck unloading into a house down the street. CALEB New neighbors huh? We watch as CJ gets up from the bed and makes his way over to the window as well. CJ Yeah man. They started moving stuff in yesterday. There has been some weird.. but nice shit going into that house. Caleb gives CJ a weird look. CALEB Youve been watching them? CJ Yeah man. Its just a young couple.. but hey must be LOOOOOADED. There is a silence for a few seconds before CJ turns to Caleb and looks at him with a devilish smile. CJ Dude.. I say we go in one day when their not home and see what theyve got. If we find something nice.. then that only makes it sweeter. Calebs eyes grow wide.

CALEB You mean rob them? Thats fucked up bro. Im not doing that. CJ Aww come on dont be a pussy! Nut up! We see a look of irritationon Calebs face as he moves away from the window and grabs his shoes. CALEB Shit bro.. Ive got to go. Ill text you later. CJ (irritated) What ever pussy. Later We see Caleb slip on his shoes and its obvious that he is irritated. He reaches out in front of him, grabs the door handle and flings the door open before walking out. INT: JAMES HOUSE - 10 MINUTES LATER We open on a very nice looking kitchen with tan walls. The cabinets are made of a oak with a flower design carved into each door.. the counter tops are a dark brown color made of stone. We turn to see the glass kitchen door open up and Caleb step inside the house. We watch as Caleb sits his backpack on the floor next to the door and walks over to the fridge. He opens the door and looks around inside before pulling out a jug or orange juice. Caleb turns to the cabinet near by and opens it up before grabbing a glass and filling it with juice. Caleb sits the juice down on the counter and its about to put the juice away when he sees a letter sitting on the counter with the words "FINAL NOTICE" written in blood red written on the front. We watch as a concerned look immediately comes to Calebs face as he lifts the letter and unfolds the piece of paper in his hand. We then zoom in on the paper for several seconds to reveal that the letter is actually a medical bill for "Ron James" for the amount of ten thousand dollars. We then flash back to Calebs face to see as shocked look of worry as he drops the letter to the counter and turns make his way out of the room when we heard the sound of a woman talking near by. Caleb stops in his tracks and walks over to the door way into the living room. He looks in to reveal SALLY JAMES(40 years old, blond hair, pretty) sitting on a nice red couch with tears in her eyes and a phone to her (CONTINUED)

ear. Caleb turns and puts his back against the wall besides the door way to listen in. SALLY(O.S.) I just dont know what to do anymore. Ive tried so hard to hide this from Caleb and just take care of it.. but it never seems like its going to end. There is a silence for a few seconds before we hear her being to speak again. SALLY(O.S.) I just got another hospital bill. Ten grand this time. There is a pause SALLY(O.S.) (continued) I know that it will all work out somehow... but Im beginning to lose faith in myself. I feel like I have failed as a mother. Caleb is getting in trouble at school a lot.... the bills are stacking up.. and Im beginning to fear that we might lose the house. I just wish Ron was here... We zoom in on Calebs face to show tears flowing down his face. After a few seconds, Caleb reaches down and pulls shirt shirt up to his face to wipe the tears away. After he composes himself he walks over to the kitche door and opens it again. He then closes it hard and rushes over to grab his juice and put the jug away. SALLY(O.S.) (whispering) Caleb is home. Ill call you later. After a few seconds we see Sally enter the kitchen with a fake smile spread across her face. Her eyes are a red color and it is obvious that she has been crying. SALLY Hey sweetie. How was your day? Caleb forces a smile to his face.

CALEB (overly happy) It was good! We didnt do much with it being the last day of school.. but it wasnt too bad. How was your day. SALLY Ohh you know.. same shit different day. A laugh escapes Sallys lips as we see a real smile appear on her face. Caleb finishes his juice and sits his glass in the sink before smiling again and makes his way over to his Mom. He reaches out in front of him and hugs her tightly. CALEB I love you Mom. SALLY I love you too baby. Are you okay? CALEB Yeah Im fine.. just a little tired. I think Im going to go lay down for a little bit. The hug ends and we see Sally pull away to look Caleb in the eyes as she runs her hand through his hair. SALLY Okay sweetie. Ill put your dinner in the fridge for you. Caleb smiles. CALEB Thanks Mom. We see Caleb then walk passed his Mom and make his way up the stairs to a white door before turning the handle and making his way inside. INT: JAMES HOUSE - CALEBS ROOM - 15 MINUTES LATER We see big bedroom with dark blue walls that are covered in posters. The room is kind of on the messy side.. but not bad for a teenagers room. The camera turns to show a door open as Caleb steps into view with steam rushing out of the room behind him. He is now dressed in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. We watch as he makes his way across the room and plops down on her bed before putting his face into his (CONTINUED)

pillow. Just then we hear a beep coming from the table next to the bed. We watch as Caleb reaches over with his hand still in his pillow. He grabs the phone and then pulls his head away from the pillow and unlocks the phone to see that he has a new text from CJ. Caleb clicks onto the message before we zoom in to see what it says. "Hey man. Im sorry about giving you shit. But dont make me do this alone man." Caleb puts his face back in his pillow for several seconds before raising his head again and composing a message. "Im in... call me when its time. Caleb presses send before sitting the phone on the night stand next to his bed and turning onto his side. We see tears beginning to stream down Calebs face before he begins to speak. CALEB I wish you were here Dad... I miss you. We then turn the camera to show a picture of a man with gray hair smiling with his arm around a young boy with blond hair. The camera then flashes back to Calebs face and it is obvious that the boy in the picture is him. INT: JAMES HOUSE - CALEBS ROOM - A FEW HOURS LATER We watch as Caleb sits up with a start as the sound of ringing fills the room. There is no longer any light coming through the window and the room is now pitch black.. the only light to be seen is the one coming from his phone. Caleb lets out a small groan before reaching over and picking up his phone. CALEB (half asleep) Hello? CJ Dude.. there is something weird going on with these neighbors. They just left the house. CALEB What? What time is it?

CJ Its a little after 4am. Get dressed and meet me in the back yard of their house in 15 minutes. Caleb lets out a small groan. CJ Shut the fuck up and get dressed. Wear black and bring gloves. We hear a click as Caleb springs to his feet and rushes over to the dresser. We watch as he grabs out a black shirt and slips it on and then slips a black pair of sweat pants over his shorts. Caleb grabs his phone off his bed before slowly making his way over to the door. We watch as he reaches out and opens the door. EXT: NEIGHBORS HOUSE - 20 MIN LATER We open the scene with the sigh of Caleb jogging down the street until he comes to a large brick house. We then watch as he slips into the shadows next to the bushes which line the left side of the home. Caleb huddles down before slowly making his way past the large oak tree and over the small walkway on the side of the house until he comes into a large back yard filled with trees and a fish pond in the middle. Caleb looks around carefully for any sign of his friend but there is nothing. Just then we see CJ step out of the shadows. CJ Your late. I already picked the lock. CALEB Sorry.. had to go back. I forgot my gloves. CJ Well lets do this. We then watch as Caleb and CJ make their way into the house. INT: NEIGHBORS HOUSE - MINUTES LATER We open the scene in living room of the dark house. All of the walls in sight are a bright white color and the smell of paint lingers in the air. The furniture is all covered in white sheets that are black with dust.

CALEB This place is disgusting. CJ Yeah.. its even gross for me. You can barely tell that someone is even living here.... Anyway! Ill head up to the bedroom and see if I find any jewelery or anything. You look around down here. Caleb nods in agreement before we see CJ walk out of the room. We then hear foot steps making their way up the creeking stairs. Caleb turns and looks around the room before walking out and into the kitchen. This room is almost just as barren as the first except for the fact that there are a few pans and dishes on the counter. Caleb turns and walks down a long hallway which leads into a study that is filled with boxes. Caleb walks over to one of the boxes and opens it up to look inside but he sees nothing but papers. He digs thought the papers before coming to a page with strange symbols written on it. CALEB (to himself) What the fuck...? Just then Caleb hears a noise coming from behind a door near by. We turns and makes his way over to the door when he hears a big banging noise from the other side. Caleb opens up the door quickly and jumps backward when a rat comes out. We watch as a small laugh escapes his lips as Caleb looks down to see a large box lying on the floor. Caleb kneels down and opens the box to reveal stacks of money inside the box. His eyes grow wide before he rushes over to the stairs and yells up to CJ. CALEB Get down here! I just found something! After a few seconds we see a figure make its way to the top of the stairs before slowly decending to the ground floor. CALEB Im in here! Caleb calls when he hears foot steps. We watch as Caleb stuffs his small backpack with money. The camera angle then changes to show someone standing in the dark near Caleb.

CALEB Hey CJ! Check this out man. Jackpot! There is no response. Caleb zips up his backpack and puts it on his back as he gets an uneasy feeling. CALEB CJ? Just then a scream rings out from the second floor of the house. CJ Run! We watch as a look of pure terror floods onto Calebs face.. he is frozen in fear. Just then the dark figure steps out of the moonlight to reveal a tall, muscular looking man.. but there is something weird about him. Calebs eyes move up to the mans face and he notices that mans skin on his face is very baggy and loose. VOICE Who are you? What are you doing here? The man continues to step forward when Caleb doesnt answer. The man reaches out for Caleb when he suddenly comes back to reality, turns around and quickly breaks into a run. Caleb runs out of the room and makes his way to the front door. His heart drops in his chest at he sees that someone has nailed the front door shut. Caleb turns and runs down the hall with the back door in his sights. Just then he sees a woman step in front of the door with a large object in her hand. WOMANS VOICE Hello child.. Where do you think your going? Caleb stops in his tracks and turns to run back in the opposite direction when he sees the man step into the door way of the hallway. CALEB Leave me the fuck alone! Caleb freezes as he notices the man and woman beginning to slowly make their way toward him. Just then the hands of the man and woman light up.

CONTINUED: CALEB (in shock) What are you!?

There is no answer. Instead Caleb quickly looks around him before noticing a door to his right. Caleb grabs the handle of the door and flings it open to see stairs which lead down into darkness. Caleb looks left and right to see the glowing hands coming closer and closer. Caleb quickly hurries through the door and closes it behind him. He makes his way down the stairs to find a basement filled of furniture and other items. Caleb runs forward and through the mess of stuff looking for any possible way out when he suddenly hears the door open at the top of the stairs. WOMAN AND MANS VOICES(O.S.) Were coming for you boy... Caleb hurries deeper and deeper into the mess of random items before doming to a lit up area with a chains and handcuffs handing from the celing. Caleb stops in his path as he looks just a little further ahead to see moonlight coming in through a basement window. The souns of footsteps getting closer brings him back to life as he runs forward toward the door. As he enters back into the darkness he notices more chains and handcuffs hanging from the celing.. but this time there is something hanging. Caleb steps forward and we see his eyes grow wide as we see the mutilate body of a woman hanging there. Caleb screams before running forward and jumping up to the window.He pulls and pushes on it as hard as possible but its not opening.Caleb then looks beside him to see a human skull sitting in a table. Caleb jumps down from the window and rushes over to the skull. He pucks up the mass of bone and throws it at the window as hard as he can which causes it to shatter into a million pieces. Caleb jumps back up to the window and is about to crawl through when hears a hissing noise coming from behind him. He turns to see the man and woman standing in the light in the distance. We zoom in on them to notice that they are beginning to shake. Just then the man reaches up to his face and pulls his skin off to reveal the head of a lizard looking creature. The man/creature then drops onto its glowing hands and runs forward on all fours in a sprint. Caleb screams in hear before quickly pulling himself through the window. We see Caleb just make it through the window when we see the head of the creature appear in the open hole and spit a liquid out of his mouth which lands on Calebs shoe. Caleb jumps to his feet when he begins to hear a burning noise. He looks down to see his shoe is smoking. Caleb quickly kicks his shoes off and is just beginning to run from the yard with his backpack in hand when we hear the hissing of the womans voice again. (CONTINUED)

WOMAN(O.S.) We WILL find you boy. Your not safe. Caleb runs between the house and the bushes and then makes his way out to the street. He then looks toward CJs house to see his bike sitting on the side of the house. Caleb runs over and grabs the bike before getting on and riding as fast as he can toward his house. INT: JAMES HOUSE - 5 MINUTES LATER We notice that the sun is coming up as Caleb runs through his kitchen door. He quickly turns and locks the door before running upstairs. Caleb runs into his room and puts his backpack on the bed before hurrying into his Moms room. CALEB MOM! Get up! Theyve got CJ. They almost got me too. Sally sits up with a startled look on her face. SALLY What sweetie? CALEB CJ and i broke into his new neighbors house. They captured CJ.. and they have a dead body in the basement. Their aliens or something! The man has a head like a lizard! Sally laughs before laying her head back down on her pillow. SALLY It was just a bad dream hun. Go back to sleep. CALEB No Mom! You have to get up! I got the money for Dads medical bills... but we need to call the police! They will be coming for me. Sally lets out a sigh before getting out of bed and following Caleb downstairs. Caleb grabs the home phone off the counter in the kitchen and dials "911". Sally give him a weird look.

Caleb turns and holds up a finger to his Mom before we hear a voice begin to speak on the other end of the phone. CALEB My name is Caleb. My best friend CJ was captured by his neighbor and they have a dead body in their basement. They arent human and now their coming for me. My address is 5739 Turner Lane. Caleb pauses for the 911 dispatcher to respond but instead a laugh rings out from the other side. DISPATCHER Sir.. prank calls are taken very seriously with us. Just then the door bell rings. A look of wonder crosses Sallys face. SALLY Who could that be this early? Caleb covers the receiver to the phone and turns to his mother. CALEB Dont answer it. Sally rolls her eyes before getting up and making her way out of the room. Caleb hangs up the phone and lays it on the counter before rushing after her into the foyer. We watch as Sally reaches for the door handle and begins to pull it open. We then flash back to Calebs face as he screams out in fear CALEB No! Dont!! We then focus on Calebs face as we see his mouth drop open in surprise. We then hear a familiar voice begin to speak. CJ Hi Mrs. J. Sorry if I woke you guys up but I let Caleb borrow my bike yesterday.. and I need it back for a trail ride today. The camera then turns to show CJ standing in the door way. (CONTINUED)

SALLY Ohh its okay. Your crazy best friend already woke me up. CJ and Sally laugh for a few seconds before they turn to look at Caleb. A look of shock still lives on Calebs face as he walks closer. CALEB How did you get out? CJ laughs as we see Sally walk over and sit down on the couch. CJ What are you talking about. CJ winks at Caleb and smile. Caleb runs forward and grabs hold of CJ as he pulls him in for a hug. Just then CJ tightens his grip around Caleb and leans in close to him before whispering in his ear. CJ (whispering) We know who you are. We know what you saw... and your next Caleb. We zoom in on CJs face to see a large lizard tongue come out of his mouth and lick Calebs ear before letting him go. Caleb stands still in shock as CJ turns to leave. CJ Thanks! You both have a good day. Ill see you soon Caleb.. We then flash back to Calebs face as the front foor closes. CUT TO BLACK:
