TOP NOTES OF THE WEEK


1. The Royals are 1-3-0-0 in the teams last four games and 4-5-0-1 in the last ten. The team is currently one game under .500 (16-17-3-   d
teams record also stood at one game under .500 at: (7-8-1-1) (11-12-3-2), (12-13-3-3) and (15-16-3-3).
2. The Royals snapped a two-game losing skid with the 4-1 victory over the Kalamazoo Wings at the Sovereign Center last Friday in the rst matchup between the Royals
and the K-Wings since Kalamazoo swept the Royals out of the 2011 American Conference Semi-Final playo series.
3. The Kalamazoo Wings scored the games rst goal on Friday night, and the Royals responded with four straight to register Readings eleventh come-from-behind win of
the season. The Royals are 6-9-1-    and 3-6-0-1 at home.
4. Goaltender Paul Dainton made forty saves in holding the Kalamazoo Wings to one goal on Friday to register his rst win as a Zd  
Z   Z-1-0-0 when holdin 
5. Saturdays 5-dt  Zt won (10-1-0-0).
6. With the one- ^^dt Z -4-1-2 in home games decided by one goal. Overall,
the Royals are 8-5-3-3 when the game is decided by a single goal.
7. The Royals held a one-   K Z -3-0-2 when entering the third period with
a lead at home. On the road, the team is 7-0-1-1 in such circumstances.
8. The Royals were able to protect (and expand upon) the one-goal lead the team held entering Fridays game against the Kalamazot d
Z the third period. The other two games were:
(i) 12/30/11 v Wheeling (led 3-2 entering third), won 3-2; and (ii) 11/13 v Elmira Jackals (led 5-2 entering third), won 6-2.
9. The Royals were unable to protect the one-^^rays last Monday (Reading led 3-
two and lost 3-4) and the Toledo Walleye on Saturday (Reading led 2- -5). The other three games this season  Z  
home, but did not win were: (i) 11/23/11 v Chicago (led 2- -3); (ii) 11/30/11 v Elmira (led 2- t in a shootout, 2-3); and (iii) 12/28/11 v Elmira
(led 3-  -4).
10. The goaltender in net for the Toledo Walleye in their come-from-behind win over the Royals on Saturday night was Rob Nolan. In his other game against the Royals
on November 23, 2011 as a member of the Chicago ExpressNolans team (the Express) also mounted a third period come-back to beat the Royals, 3-2.

1. The Royals scored a pair of goals (including the game winner) on the power play in Fridays
win over the K-Wings. That snapped a streak for the Royals of four straight games (and six of

2. Kenny Ryan had a three game point streak snapped in Saturdays loss to Toledo
(1g-3a). Ryan has seven points in seven games with Reading (2g-5a).
3. John Scrymgeour has scored a goal in each of the three games hes played with
Reading since returning from an 11 game absence due to injury. Scrymgeour now
has 4 goals for Readingall of which have come in his last 6 games with the team.
4. Tyler Brenners second goal for Reading on Friday night against the K-Wings was
also the second goal of the game, which proved to be the game winnerBrenners
second GWG as a Royal. Brenner has six points (2g-4a) in seven games with Reading.
