Spring 3rd-7th Grade Volleyball

Our Y believes in nurturing healthy life styles and skills of our youth. Volleyball will be a great opportunity for your child to explore a new sport, increase their self confidence and work within a team atmosphere. It also provides an opportunity for adults to be positive role models and serve our community through coaching. Ages Volleyball Clinic: 3rd-4th Grade Volleyball Leagues: 5th-6th Grade combined, 7th Grade separate When/Where 3rd-4th Grd: Clinics are held Sundays 1:00pm OR 2:00pm at Waukee Elementary School April 15th-May 20th(6 weeks) 5th-7th Grd: 5th-6th grade games are played Sunday afternoons April 15th-May 20th(6 games) 7th grade games are played on Saturday mornings April 14th-May 19th(6 games) All games and practices are held at the Waukee Elementary School. There will be 1 weeknight practices beginning the week of April 2nd. The time of practice will be determined by the coach. Registration Information Registration begins February 1st and may be done online, at the Service Desk or by calling 987-9996. The registration deadline for the Leagues is March 25th, 2012. Rates 3rd-4th Grd: $35 members/$65 non-members 5th-7th Grd: $55 members/$85 non-members $15 All Sports Jersey (Required to participate) Additional Info: 3rd-4th Grd: This clinic will focus on fundamental VB skill work and provide an introduction to game concepts in a positive atmosphere. 5th-7th Grd: This recreational league is designed to give kids more exposure to VB in a positive atmosphere so they can enhance their skills. Balls will be provided. Please come with knee pads if so desired.
