bandied along like a tumbleweed i fall into self at autumn's end a dried leaf colors ecstatic in fallful flourish now a stiff breeze! nature's leaf blossoms beauty, u see, once death brushes her dry, sweet lips against it's green face whispering the winter chant "come away" into photosynthetic pores as sap which once arose to life erupts this final time to be consumed in color burst surrender. glorious fall, thanksgiving song, praise chant meditation splendor. ah wind, gregarious, raucous friend how i have prepared for this day ah friend, u sing my name as though a sigh of laughter in a gust of your love i am plucked from the branch in a gust this frail shell i have become

inhaled to ascension, numinous bright with color. a moment air borne i am a great speckled bird i am all the whole blessed earth's willing lover. in the end, colors fade beauty gives way to brittle the passage of a single leaf no one cares; in gods name, no one even notices. dry & colorless, alas to mulch ash to ash, dust to dust. aki
