A
number of residents from the area travelled
to the Wheat City this past weekend to take
in the 9th annual Lieutenant Governors Winter
Festival. One of the festivals most popular pavil-
ions, with some 8,600 visitors, was the Scottish
Pavilion located in the Imperial Ball Room of
Victoria Inn.
On Saturday afternoon, dancers from Expres-
sive Dance With Crystal entertained the crowd
with two sets of traditional Scottish dance (pic-
tured above). Between Crystals sets, the Scottish
pavilion stage flled with young violinists from
the Suzuki Talent Education Program (STEP). In-
cluded in this group were three Minnedosa mu-
sicians: Max and Telicia Dowsett and Samantha
Roche whom is pictured at right.
Tis years winter festival saw attendance
numbers hit a record of over 62,000 people.
