SAPSprint stands for SAP Server print and is a Windows service application. SAPSprint is a robust solution for server-based printing:
Automatic restarts in case of errors Command line administration Error by-passing by using one thread per print job Job-specific error log

Easy move from SAPlpd to SAPSprint Separate installation from Frontend-CD or SMP download Basis for all future Windows-centric printing together with SAPFprint (new frontend print method)

SAPlpd has a single process for all output requests. If an error occurs while printing to a device, it prevents output to any other device defined in the system until SAPlpd is restarted manually.

SAPFprint Details (1) SAPFprint (SAP Frontend print with control technology) will replace front-end printing with access method F. It offers the following advantages:
Simplified configuration and more stable execution, especially when printing using Windows Terminal Server. Front-end printing is possible for non-Windows platforms with SAP GUI for Java. Printer selection no longer displayed in SAP system. Microsoft Windows printer selection window is now called directly from the control; no printer name length restriction anymore:

In SAP GUI for Windows, device type SAPWIN can be selected to use any printer with a Microsoft Windows driver. When printing with the SAP GUI for Java or on other platforms, you need to use an appropriate device type, such as PostScript.

SAPFprint Details (3) SAPFprint is available as of SAP Basis 4.6C. For releases lower than SAP NetWeaver 7.0 you have to install:
