    Existing Control Measures 1 Cable is checked for its tightness by the welder / helper before starting the job. 2 Return earth is given through the welding lead only and no rebar to be used for return path.

    Double earthing is provided. All electrical connection is routed through RCCB. Welding holders is replaced when found damaged. EHS induction is given to workers, supervisors. Experienced and trained welder is allowed for the welding job. Shed is provided for the electrical machines. Cable routing is done away from the pathway. Connectors are used to join the cables. Checking is done during the site EHS inspection. Welding is done in open or well ventilated place. It is so carried out along the wind direction. In confined space, arrangement of checking the level of oxygen is done.

    Combustible materials are removed. Fire retarder materials are used to contain sparks. Welding cable is not laid over electrical cable and gas cutting hose. Use of tyre / coir mat for unloading the cylinders from the vehicle.Use cylinder trolley to transport to site. Use cylinder trolley to transport to site. Keep the leaking cylinder well away from the site. Inform dealer to take away immediately. If fire occurs,keep cool the top side of cylinder in case it is full.otherwise put off. Gas hose is not laid on the pathway. Nozzle is cleaned everyday by the gas cutter. Flashback arrestors are fitted in torch & cylinder. Store of filled & empty cylinders separately. Stored upright. Smoking is prohibited. Fire extinguishers are provided. Cylinder trolleys are used.

    Keeping the cylinders stock away from combustible materials. 18 Conditions of hoses are checked frequently. Damaged or tampered hoses are replaced then & there. A coupler & clamp is used to join the hose. 19 Goggles/ hand gloves provided. 20 Combustible materials are removed. Fire retarder materials are used to contain sparks. 21 Welding and gas cutting to be done as per the need of the site in well ventilated place. 22 Welding butts are stored in small box and returned to store dept. Additional Control Measures 1 Electrical inspection. 2 Lock the cylinder with chain to avoid fall of cylinders.
