Parameds MRopen superconductive MRI system Paramed Medical Systems (Booth 9139) is unveiling its recently FDA-approved MRopen, a cryogen-free, superconductive MRI system. The system uses a cable made from MgB2 (magnesium diboride), an alloy with superconductive characteristics at temperatures that can be reached with a traditional cooling system (cryo-cooler). There is no need for liquid helium or other cryogenic gases. The MRopen employs a claustrophobic free U-shaped design. MRopen 0.5T is a true revolution in MRI.
