    Parishioner: Hello, I would like to speak to Representative Smith about Bill # _________________, named __________________. Staffer: I am sorry. Mrs. Smith is in a committee meeting right now. May I take a message for her? Parishioner: Yes. My name is ___________________ and I am a member of _____________ parish in ________________ (city/district). I would like Representative Smith to vote in favor of Bill #_______________ because (say how the bill will impact you and your community). Please ask her to contact me about her position on this issue. Again, my name is _________________ and my address is ___________________ (speak slowly to be sure the staffer is taking down the information). I hope she will vote for this bill and I will be anxiously waiting to hear from her. May I ask your name? Thank you so much for your time, (staffers name). Staffer: You are welcome and thank you for calling.
