Traditional Clothes of North Sulawesi
In the beginning, the Minahasas clothes was called Karai Momo or Wuyang. Nowadays the clothes has so many style for example the wedding dress of Minahasas people. They have used long white sleeve kebaya, adorned by Sujiber embroidery and the motifs are grains, coconut flowers, and jasmine aromatic. They also using a long V-skirt, that larger on the beneath part. Its called Putri Duyung clothes. The men clothes consist of two parts, those are upper part and beneath part. The upper part is called Baniang. Baniang is a long sleeves style shirt with collar and wallet on the bottom right and left side. The front part of the clothes, there are some embroidery motifs, based on the users of it. The down part, they were used trousers. The length are untill their heel, and wider than the upper part of the trousers. The colour is black and no motifs. The additional accessory is asnake skins belt. It was tooken from Patola snake and crown shape in its front part.
