9th grade
9th graders will participate in the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR). General subject-area TAKS tests will be replaced with twelve STAAR endof-course (EOC) assessments.

Testing Schedule
9th graders will participate in the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR). 12 EOC assessments are:
English 1, English 2, English 3

Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 Biology, Chemistry, Physics World Geography, World History, U.S. History

EOC assessmet
Count towards 15% of the students grade 4 hour limit Reading: Greater emphasis on critical analysis Writing: Will require 2 essays Math: Open ended question will increase
