ABSTRACT PROJECT TITLE: HYDRAULIC (PRESSING/BENDING) MACHINE.

In todays world small things are carried on the basis of hydraulic system in order to fulfill this worlds need various system such as hydraulic press, cranes ,hydraulic lift etc. modern equipments are used. Small things from history of hydraulic systems till hydraulic press and from hydraulic press to hydraulic bending machine are explained together. AIM: This project is a prototype which explains, how hydraulic machine can be used for performing both pressing as well as bending of objects like pipe, rods, metal sheets etc. PRINCIPLE The hydraulic press depends on Pascal's principle: the pressure throughout a closed system is constant. One part of the system is a piston acting as a pump, with a modest mechanical force acting on a small cross-sectional area; the other part is a piston with a larger area which generates a correspondingly large mechanical force. Only small-diameter tubing (which more easily resists pressure) is needed if the pump is separated from the press cylinder. COMPONENTS REQUIRED: OIL TANK, HYDRAULIC PUMP, PRESSURE METRE, PIPE, AND DIES. COST ESTIMATION: 7000-8000 (BASED ON SPECIFICATION OF MACHINE) CONCLUSION The machine which was hydraulic press and it is now converted into bending machine, was very much interesting to construct. It bends all type of rods and bars as well as pipes into v-shape and square-shape. Though it looks difficult to hear but it is very simple to operate manually. At last we want to say that we found it interesting in converting hydraulic press and also it is shown by this project that how one machine is useful in doing other kind of operation by just having some minor modification into it.
