STATEMENT: An exchange of technical information between Architects and those who supply and handle building materials or equipment is necessary and therefore encouraged and commended.
4-a The Architect shall not avail or make use of engineering or other technical services offered by manufacturers, or suppliers of building materials or equipment which may be accompanied by an obligation detrimental to the best interest of the Client or which may adversely affect the Architect s professional opinion. 4-b The Architect shall not at any time receive commissions, discounts, fees, gifts or favors from agents or firms handling building materials or equipment which may place him in a reciprocal frame of mind. He may however, accept market discounts which shall be credited to the Client.

Peace There should be an understanding between the Architect and the Contractor/s to further avoid misunderstandings which can lead to throwing of each other s faults. Both architect and contractor should share/have a fair share of information regarding their works not just let the contractor do the plan designed by the architect and not consult him/her about the changes made to further improve the design. Patience Both architect and contractor should learn the value of patience. It s not all the time we get fast results/answers from each other. For example; the contractor waiting for the final revisions of the architect s design, the contractor cannot complain how long the architect should revise the plan, although the architect should also do his share by at least not making the contractor/s wait too long. Self-Control Both the architect and contractor are working professionals therefore they should act like one. They must not show low-less acts that will hinder them from the development of their works. They should serve as role models for those who are still on the way on becoming professionals like students for example. Kindness Any person should always carry this virtue/value, may it be at work, with family, or with friends. Any professional should show kindness towards his co-workers and that s a standard especially for a Filipino for we are known to be kind and gentle people.
