Intro In this experiment, it is divided into two parts which are the isochoric and iso thermal processes.

To make this experiment successful, we used The WL 102 Boyle s L aw Demonstration Unit . This device is designed to prove the Boyle s Law that is: For a fixed mass of ideal gas at fixed temperature, the product of pressure and v olume is a constant. An isochoric process is a thermodynamic process in which the volume rem ains constant. So we will study the relationship of the pressure and temperature by heating and cooling the gas. While the isothermal process can be defined as a thermodynamic process w hich the temperature will be kept constant. The pressure and volume will be obse rved by compression and expansion process. Below is the table shown the formula to find the experimental property of the gas based on the general gas equation: (p_1 V_1)/T_1 = (p_2 V_2)/T_2 =constant

Process Constant Isochoric process T2/T1 Isothermal process T2 = T1 V2/V1

Known ratio Volume P2/P1 P2 = P1(T2/T1) Temperature

P2 V2 T2 P2 = P1(P2/P1) V2 = V1 T2 = T1(P2/P1) V2 = V1 T2 = T1(T2/T1) P2/P1 P2 = P1(P2/P1) V2 = V1/(P2/P1)

P2 = P1/(V2/V1) V2 = V1(V2/V1) T2 = T1
