Information security system software and ethical hacking

Learning workshop was conducted on 20th March, 2012 on Information security system software and Ethical Hacking in Jims sector 5, Rohini. The key note speakers present for the workshop were from VMDD Technologies an ISO 9001 certified company which delivers total engineering solutions. Mr. V.K Shukla, Director, Mr. Devanshu, Project Head and Mr. Praveen Assistant Manager and Technical support were the panelist. The main highlights of the workshop were on design and development of softwares, which are required for major corporate sector employment, students of information technology and for the faculties teaching IT as subjects. The workshop was a one on one interactive session and was a knowledge pool for the 2nd and 4th MCA Semester students of the college. It gave an insight on the significance of security systems for any organization. These days to restrict the entry of any virus by installing Anti-Virus is not enough, the digital age has taken all over. In spite of Anti-Virus safeguards installed in the systems, it is vulnerable for any kind of threat. The systems get

hacked through any medium while you are engaged in doing Facebook, chat or attaching any document. Social media networking has become a prime medium through which many corporate interact therefore security systems play a very important role in assisting them for their smooth functioning. The highlights of the workshop were: How a system gets hacked when online The significance of security systems The protection against hacking. The use of various softwares for the protection against hacking. The concept of ethical hacking. The overall experience from the workshop was a learning one with insightful examples from present day working of the systems. The students and teachers gained a lot of valuable source of information through the presentation on hacking. Ethical hacking is done to fix solutions for systems vulnerabilities done by hackers. The certification is undertaken by ethical hackers to rectify the systems who have been hacked using the

same method of hackers. The value of such learning topic is immense as it showcases the realities of the cyber world and alerts the society regarding the security of it.
