she and music were dancing across yellows and greens when nature met death in a tangle of red

music watched, blue, as death cut her strings and she fell to the ground into grey music left a pale master to follow her down away from the white of the living it caught the black echoes of loved and of lost and deafened her heart to their mourning they had only arrived in a world made of stone when music felt the call of its master fate stole her sight as it bid blind farewell and flew back to life and to color music and master were soon to return driven by love in bright shades of orange they would dance themselves dead in her honor but death offered only an impossible bargain: he wanted music in exchange for the girl neither gold nor murder would suffice the master, mind tattered and desperate to win turned his back on reason and consequence and so music, betrayed, paled to colorless smoke while its old master led love to the surface but black shackles of fact dragged at her feet as music watched and thought: he deserves it she fell further behind, right back to death with her love still unable to notice music greeted her at the solemn gates and they danced, deaf and blind, all in grey
