    An Attach Procedure is initiated when a UE sends an Attach Request message to the MME via an eNB. The MME extracts information from the message like the Initial UE message, NAS Attach Request, GUTI, IMSI, and PDN connectivity request parameters. It then processes the request by updating subscriber fields, checking for a GUTI, setting the NW security capability, and sending a DMX message to the SubsHandler to further process the Attach Request.

    Attach Procedure: UE S1ApMessage (Attach Request) TrHandler Steps: Extract Initial UE message.

    Extract NAS Message from Initial UE message. Extract NAS Attach Request from NAS message. Based on the transport type of Initial UE message set the TAI fields to the subscriber. Look for additional Guti in Attach request. If present the update the same to the subscriber. Update subscribers identity with IMSI value or GUTI value which ever is present. Set the NW security capability for the subscriber. Extract PDN Connectivity request params. Update ENB-S1AP-ID . Send the DMX Message(eps_attach_request_s) towards SubsHandler. SubsHandler Extract the epsAttachRequestMessage from DMX message. Process the Attach Request.
