Working Together
Over the last 5 years I've worked closely with community groups in Wester Hailes, Juniper Green / Baberton Mains, Currie, Balerno and Ratho to tackle problems and improve local services. Buses, roads, pavements and maintenance of open spaces feature highly among local priorities. I've also supported Parent Councils in our Primary and High Schools to protect school budgets and improve facilities.

A Co-operative Council
As a co-operative council, we'll give local people more of a say in how services are delivered and run. We'll open up the budget process and give people a real chance to be heard. We'll prioritise childcare, housing and schools.

A Competent Council
We'll work to get the basics right. With the SNP and Lib Dems in power our city has gone backwards. Edinburgh is now rated as having the dirtiest streets in Scotland. Putting Edinburgh First A Labour-led administration will put the city first, not party politics. We'll work cross-party to get the best deal for Edinburgh and push the Scottish Government for a fairer share of resources.
