Jim Orr 1

Local council candidate Jim Orr with Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill in Dumbiedykes, where they held an open surgery with residents to discuss local issues such as anti-social behaviour. Both are well aware that although crime is down, anti-social behaviour still troubles some of our communities. That's why the SNP are cutting back on pocket-money booze prices. For young adults we are investing in more modern apprenticeships.

A message from your SNP candidate

In joint administration in Edinburgh, the SNP has achieved much. The council has been brought back from the brink of bankruptcy in 2007 to a situation where budgets are being met in 2012 and reserves are high. We could do so much more as the largest party. Please support our positive vision for Edinburgh and Scotland in the council elections.

At the cameron House community centre

The centre, in Prestonfield Avenue, opened in 2009. An essential and well-used community resource.

My priorities
Keep the council tax frozen Help local residents during the downturn Protect vital services Improve council performance

Following extensive and essential community consultation, this long-awaited rebuild will commence soon and provide a first class learning environment. Such projects are also important in keeping the construction industry in work during the downturn.

At James Gillespie's High School

Keep spend on-budget

The SNP delivers!

Crime at a 30 year low 1,000 extra police officers on the streets Tackling bigotry and sectarianism Prescription charges scrapped Free higher education re-introduced Pay restraint in place of redundancies Reduced rates for smallbusinesses
