Local council candidate Jim Orr with Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill in Dumbiedykes, where they held an open surgery with residents to discuss local issues such as anti-social behaviour. Both are well aware that although crime is down, anti-social behaviour still troubles some of our communities. That's why the SNP are cutting back on pocket-money booze prices. For young adults we are investing in more modern apprenticeships.

Thanks to a 37m renovation, the Commonwealth Pool will soon be back in service for the people of the city and our local community will play host to the diving competition of the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Labours trams might even be running by then.

Following extensive and essential community consultation, this long-awaited rebuild will commence soon and provide a first class learning environment. Such projects are also important in keeping the construction industry in work during the downturn.
