REFLECTION (Luqman Hakim bin Roslan-T1SN2)

Based on the task that I had done under English grammar study, I had gained a lot of knowledge about the grammar and I understand more about the role of the grammar in the English language. This is because I had to search and did two grammar exercises from each of the topics. The topics were nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, tenses, sentence types and question types. I feel very glad because I had done this assignment. Before this, the way I studied grammar is that my teacher taught me and then gave some exercises and submit it by tomorrow. Now, by doing this assignment, I learnt to be independent person in order to search all the information about the grammar by myself. When I read the articles, asked knowledgeable peoples and did some research, I felt that I understand more about the grammar. Besides that, I have a clear view and understanding about the grammar especially the verb. I found out that there must be at least one verb to make a complete sentence. In Malay language, the verb is not compulsory to make a complete sentence. This is one of the important rules to make a sentence in study the English grammar that I can detect from the research. Moreover, I had gain a lot of benefit from studying the grammar. Firstly, when I read an article, I can detect and identify the subject and predicate, nouns, verbs, adjectives and so on. By identifying these elements, it becomes easier for me to understand the article well. Secondly, it helps me to reduce the grammatical error when doing some writing. Lastly, it can improve my speaking and verbal skill especially when talking to friends, tourists and lecturers in my daily life. In conclusion, this assignment give a a lot of positive impacts to me as a student to understand the English grammar and I can apply in my daily life especially to have a excellent result in examination in order to face the modernization and globalization era.
