GLOBAL WARMING

Definition :

Global warming is the observed and projected increases in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans.

Causes of global warming

Deforestation

Degradation of ozone layer

Increase in fall of UV rays Increase in greenhouse gases like
CO2 (carbon dioxide)
CFC (Chloro Floro Carbons) Methane Nitrous Oxide

Greenhouse gases (e.g. carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, CFCs) trap heat in the earths atmosphere

Greenhouse gases in atmosphere

Solar energy passes through

Radiant heat is trapped

Five deadliest effects of global warming

Spread of disease Polar ice caps melting Economic consequences Warmer waters and more hurricanes Increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves

1.Spread of disease

As northern countries warm, disease carrying insects migrate north, bringing plague and disease with them.

2.Polar ice caps melting

Melting ice caps will rise sea levels which declines the shore levels

melting ice caps will throw the global ecosystem out of balance.

3.Economic consequences

Hurricanes caused due to global warming do billions of dollars in damage

4.Warmer waters and more hurricanes

As the temperature of oceans rises, so will the probability of more frequent and stronger hurricanes

5.Increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves

Areas of Africa & many countries will suffer serious droughts and heat waves because 0f the global warming.

Apart from human beings there are many living forms being effected
Coral reefs

Penguins

Marine life

Polar bares

Prevention of global warming
