It can also be something solemn Christian rites considered to have been instituted by Jesus sacred. A sacrament can help to Christ to symbolize or confer give grace by being a sign of grace. It is an outward sign, something greater. For example, instituted by Christ to give grace. the crucifix is a sign and symbol of something we can’t see, Jesus’ love for us. Sacraments can help us grow closer to God. Something or someone can be a sacrament of salvation for the Church by helping a person to grow closer to God by showing him/her the right way or how to be a better Christian.
