    January Cavour comes back March Plebiscites in the Duchies and Nice and Savoy. April 4th Insurrection in Palermo (Naples), Garibaldi was focussing on the loss of Nice his
    birthplace, National Society encourages him to go to Naples.

    May 5th Garibaldi sets sail with his 1000. May 11th Lands in red shirts, presumed British soldiers by Neapolitans. May 30th Fall at Palermo Garibaldi captures it. August 22nd Garibaldi lands in Mainland Italy. September 7th Garibaldi enters Naples. Later in September Victor Emmanuels army marches through Papal States. October 26th VE meets Garibaldi at Teano.
    November 7th King and Garibaldi enter Naples together.
