Domain 1: Planning & preparation

Who Will You Be is a center for students to come and choose a character and write about if they were that person, some of the characters could include a police man, a cow, a doctor, etc... This will give students the chance to express themselves and open their imagination and give them real life ideas on a career field they might want to gain more information as they get older. This center will also build on their writing skills, word study, reading skills. All of these skills are necessary for students to succeed.

If Ya Give a Kid a is based on compare and contrast. Here the students are to read two books by the same author series and then they are to find what is alike with the books and what is different. They are to write it down on cow paper first and when they believe they have found all the same and different things in common, they will put it in a Venn diagram.

Cuisine Fixes is a center that allows students to build on their word study skills with prefixes and suffixes. Students are to take one word from either the right or left side of the tray and then choose a prefix or suffix from the middle and put it together in the middle to make a new word. They are to do this until they complete all the words correctly.
