Login Screen

New Concept of Unity shell interface (Desktop Enviroment) A new login screen called LightDM (Light Display Manager) is in use for Ubuntu 11.10. Now users can login with either the Unity 2D or 3D desktop.

File Manager

Ubuntu 11.10 comes with a simplified Nautilus file manager. It provides a tabbed interface with the option to use multiple tabs. The menu buttons for maximized windows are only revealed by mouse hover and are hidden by default. This keeps the Gnome Panel tidy.

It is the personal cloud. Cloud services includes storage, sync, sharing and streaming. Stored data can be retrieve from anywhere even on Window's operation system.

Document Freedom Day 2012


Document Freedom Day (DFD) is a day designed to "raise awareness about document freedom on the last Wednesday of March". Document Freedom Day was first celebrated on March 26, 2008, and is organized and funded by the Free Software Foundation Europe.
This year, it is on 28th March. Goals of Document Freedom Day:
promotion and adoption of free document formats forming a global network

coordination of activities that happen on last Wednesday of March, Document Freedom Day
