Assemblyman Skartados helps real kids in need

Assemblyman delivers two baby goats on his Milton farm
Assemblyman Frank Skartados is very proud of is his 100 percent attendance record in Albany, but on Tuesday that almost changed. Ready to leave for Albany for a Local Government Committee meeting, he saw one of his goats on his farm in Milton, crying out and having difficulty moving around. Knowing that the goat was pregnant, he got her into a barn stall and helped her deliver two beautiful kids, even though he was dressed for Legislative Session. Frank is happy to report that the mother and her two offspring are doing fine. She is a good mother and this was her third delivery, Skartados said. Last year she adopted a lamb whose mother rejected her and refused to allow it to nurse. Assemblyman Skartados can manage his small farm because he doesnt stay overnight in Albany but rather travels the 80 miles back home each night. To Frank the farm is where his heart is. Representing my district is a full-time job which I take very seriously. I have devoted a lot of hours to making sure I learn the issues so I can make the best votes as a legislator I can make, Skartados said. ### Attached is a photo of Assemblyman Skartados and the newborn goats.
