In Commemoration of Freddie Lewis: My Roses
In Commemoration of Freddie Lewis: My Roses
My Roses
I never told him that he was my hero. I never told him that he was my Role Model He never told him that I am what I am because of him. I only wish I could have given him his roses before the grave.
In hindsight, I felt it necessary to tell his family, his love ones and a few others what I failed to tell him personally. That is why we have dedicated tonights scholarship in his name. Now his legacy will live on through all of us as we strive to bear the yoke of caring for others, like he did. As we strive to learn of Christ and become a servant, like he did. As we try our best to be meek to all that we meet, as he did. Last of all, as we strive to become lowly in heart and put others before ourselves, as he did. Then and only then, will we become clones of Freddie Lewis and let his legacy live on.
