Sheet Series Designations: 100 = Demo, Phasing plan; 200 = Reference, Floor & Ref Clg Plans, Bldg Sect., Bldg Elev 300 = Roof plans, Wall Sect., Details 400 = Enlarged plans, Interior Elev, Toilet accessories 500 = Vertical Circulation (stairs & elevators) 600 = Door and Window Elev, Dtls, Schedules 700 = Alternate plans or details 800 = User defined, other

Layer Names

Layer names should be easy for others to identify. This becomes very important when CAD files are distributed among design team, consultants, architects, engineers and clients.

The layer above is for: Gypsum board & stud wall that is Partial-height. (This wall would not show up on the reflected ceiling plan)

CAD layering guidelines are organized as a hierarchy. This allows for expansion and user defined extensions to the layer list.
