Plans continue to be well-organized, with clear objectives addressing standards across the curriculum. Activities are appropriate and VERY creative, challenging students at a variety of levels. Interesting and creative activities help students to understand content by addressing a variety of learning styles, ensuring that all students have an opportunity to succeed. Very effective use of the SmartBoard to present content. Feedback is constant and consistent. Activities and teacher questions challenge students to problem-solve and think creatively. Comprehensive plans, well presented, make classroom management easy.

Ms. LaBeau presents a strong professional demeanor both with her students and with other staff. She has developed an excellent relationship with her cooperating teacher, and is always asking for suggestions about how to improve her lessons. Frankly, though, her skill doesn't leave much need for improvement! Ms. LaBeau has had a VERY productive and successful professional semester. Her maturity, knowledge and business experience have helped her to develop exceptional skills in planning and executing superb lessons. She is confident, content-knowledgeable, and pedagogically savvy, making very effective use of multiple intelligences, learning styles and standards across the curriculum, thus helping students to grow in mathematics skills and in problem-solving and critical thinking. This has given her students tools to help them to succeed in standardized tests not just in her own discipline, but in other tested areas as well. Her classroom demeanor and her solid preparation have made classroom management easy for her, and in those very few instances where students went off-task, it took only a word to bring them back. Their respect for Ms. LaBeau was certainly evident. Ratings of '5' in 10 of 15 indicators are well-deserved. My only regret is that I've only been able to visit Ms. LaBeau's classroom three times. It's been a real pleasure watching her teach. I have no doubt that she will continue to excel in her chosen field, and make a real difference in the lives of the students with whom she interacts.
