STUDENTS AT LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL ARREST MAKES NATIONAL HEADLINES

Melrose High School, where both boys attended. Charles Rhode/The News Gazette
In a nearby town, where not only are the streets are safe for the children to play. But residents leave doors wide open, to welcome any stranger- these are openly trustful residents. But with the arrests of small town high school seniors Mark Harper and James Mittenbaum, both age 19. Neighbors may not be able to do like that, anytime soon. Harper, captain of the varsity football team, was not far from the perfect son that parents dream of. Neither was his best friend, Mittenbaum, who was both a starter on the varsity football, and the captain of the varsity basketball team. Both were straight A-students and had offers from many prestigious colleges. They seem to be the stunning, picture perfect boys- but on March 15th, 2011. Those perfect boys were covered head to toe, dripping in a school mates bodies blood. And appeared to have a devilish look on their faces, as friends of the victim, who had come looking for her, quoted. That girl, was a freshman and had been at a party, but was cornered. The boys are currently facing first-degree charges, no bail, and are awaiting for trial on March 23 .
