Slide Design Choice

Often, a slide design will look great on your computer screen But then it looks terrible on a large presentation screen Keep this in consideration when 5/11/12 deciding

Slide Design

Go with a minimal but elegant/sophisticated design Too fussy a design will focus the attention on that and not what you are presenting
5/11/12

Slide Design Examples

Good slide design examples are obvious Not-so-good ones are harder to determine But sometimes they are obvious, too.

Bauhaus may look nice, but is hard to understand. Comic is fine for kids, but not for professional presentations

Save script for your signature or signature without it being obvious Presentation is important

Animation

Use it or not? Animation can keep the presentation excitement going But you need to be able to use it wisely or not use it at all
5/11/12

Animation

I want to tell you something important But I dont want to you see what Im telling you just yet I dont want to reveal everything at once
5/11/12

Animation

Use animation wisely

Sometimes less is more

Stick to one type of animation The point of your presentation is not to dazzle them with your technological 5/11/12 know-how

Animation
Too many types of animation Confuses your audience And makes your presentation and message lost within the special effects Remember why you are there

What Should You Put In?

Important information But just the salient points Give the important points Then talk around them
5/11/12

What Should You Put In?

I am not putting everything in my presentation that I am saying because it will be too much on a slide and then become visually overwhelming to my audience. It is better to have the high points that you talk around than having every single word you will be saying on a slide. And, too, you dont want to have your slide full of words because it will take peoples minds off of what you are saying. Plus, some people take longer to read 5/11/12 things than others.

Successful Strategies and Measures to Achieve UPE

1- Partnerships and Coordination of Partners Efforts: Multi agency initiatives (UN), few donors give priority to UPE. Total aid commitments to UPE increased. 2- Prioritizing, Planning and Financing Primary Education: The drive for UPE must come from political leaders, then translated through legal & governance structure, with adequately resourced policies and plans, into greater action. Appropriate measures ; abolishing fees &uniforms, providing free meals, paying attendance grants to 5/11/12 parents, and offering school timetables that allow

What Should You Put In?

Sometimes you really want to put in a large amount of information If you really have to, consider using several slides to spread out what you want to say
5/11/12 But avoid it at all possible

What Should You NOT Put In?

Cartoons While they may be funny, they arent appropriate for a professional presentation And you also dont know your 5/11/12 audience and their sense of humor

What Should You NOT Put In?

Random pictures of your city Random pictures of your family You may be proud of where you live and your family, but these detract and distract from your content
Is that what you want?
