I Am Your School Counselor I am here to make your journey as a student as successful as possible. I help students deal with their struggles with so they can make academic and personal gains. My focuses include social skills, learning needs, and behavioral support. If you would like to meet with me please fill out a "Request Slip". They are outside of my office door. My Education I received my master's degree and counselor training from Portland State University. I am licensed as a School Counselor and a member of the American School Counselors Association. Your Rights as a Student You have rights as a student. The conversations we have are confidential and secret. Yet there are exceptions to this confidentiality. I am legally required to report what you tell me to someone else (Department of Human Services) if you: 1. Tell me you are hurting or planning to hurt yourself. 2. Tell me that you are putting another person in danger or planning to harm someone else. 3. Tell me that someone has or will put you in danger, abused, neglected, or hurt you in any way. I am required to provide information to a judge in court if ever necessary. Your medical records are kept separate from your educational records and only you and your legal guardians have access to them.
