Engro Foods Limited was officially launched as a fully owned subsidiary of Engro in 2004. Engro entered the consumer food market with a vision to bring innovative food products packed with quality, value and nutrition. Using dairy as a stepping stone to enter into the food business, the Company has established state-of-the-art processing units in Sukkur and Sahiwal, along with an ice cream production facility in Sahiwal. Engro launched its flagship all-purpose milk with the name of Olpers in March 2006 which has now gained huge popularity among the consumers and is in close competition with Nestles MilkPak. Apart from Olpers, Engro Foods Limited has a wide range of top quality products like Olwell, Tarang, Omore and Owsum and has even introduced a line of packaged fruit juices with the name of Olfrute. The reason for choosing Engro Foods for our project is that today Engro Foods is a fast growing local company offering a wide range of dairy products and fruity beverages to a wide demographic consumer base. Its brands are well-known among the consumers and it publishes its annual reports that are easily available to the public from their website. Therefore, it would be possible for us to gather the relevant data about Engro Foods and its products from various sources which would help us do a better analysis of the brand for the purpose of our project.
