The Global Rice Information Gateway

Purpose
The global rice information gateway will provide a real-time crop monitoring and forecasting platform by combining modern techniques such as satellite-based remote sensing with weather and crop modeling, and econometric modeling for smooth functioning of the rice market. This system would become a vital backbone for improving planning and policy decisions as well as for strategically deploying resources and new technologies to the right areas.
