Guar Gum for Oil Field Applications

WGA-15 is manufactured by Sunita Hydrocolloids Private Limited, a joint venture company of Weatherford International Ltd., USA. WGA-15 is a natural galactomannan polysaccharide obtained from ground endosperm of the legume Cyamopsis tetragonolobus, an annual plant which grows mainly in arid and semi-arid regions of India. WGA-15 is fast hydrating guar gum to be used in various oil field applications especially in hydraulic fracturing as carrier for proppant. WGA-15 compared to the other viscosifiers could be cross-linked successfully using a metal ion based cross-linking agent. Up on cross linking the resultant fluid can handle high concentrations of proppant and provides increased fracture width and penetration. WGA-15 is compatible to other additives being added in oil field applications.

Product can also be provided in desired packings. Storage It is suggested to store product in a dry and cool place, away from heat and out of the sun. Once package is opened, consume within reasonable time.
