V. 2-3 Credit Hours of Thesis Research (HIS 6971) Students must be registered for at least 3 thesis research hours (HIS 6971) in the fall or spring semesters or 2 in the summer term at the time they are defending their thesis. To complete the balance of the 30 credits, students may register for additional courses/seminars inside or outside the department and/or undertake Individual Study (HIS 6905). VI. Thesis and Final Comprehensive Examination.
