Shoper 9 Control Centre

Introduction
The control centre available on the Tally Solutions website will simplify the task of managing various activities associated with licenses. The main functions of the control centre are: Managing Licenses Creating and Managing Users Creating and Managing Security levels for Users Manage Company Profile Change Passwords Partner Search Activity History

To understand these functionalities, the concepts used are explained herewith.

Every Shoper 9 customer gets an account. This account is called a Tally.NET Account ID (frequently referred to as Account ID). This is basically a short and easy to remember name for your organisation, for example, AcmeCorp. Every Account has one Account Administrator, recognised by an ID. An account with only one site (one serial number) is called a Single Site Account. An account with multiple sites (more than one serial number) is called a Multi Site Account. If you have multiple sites, then each site will have a Site ID. This is basically how you refer to the site, for example, ABC Mall Bangalore or Retail Plaza Chennai. Every site will have one Site Administrator, recognised by an ID.

You can choose and change the name you want to use as the Account ID but it has to be unique across all the customers of Tally. To ensure uniqueness, it is recommended that you use an e-mail id as the account id. Similarly, Account Administrators ID, Site ID and Site Administrators ID can also be changed, using the control centre.

For a single site account, your Account ID and Account Administrator's ID will be created based on the e-mail ID provided during the licensing process. For example, ram@mail.com. This will be treated as the Account ID as well as the Account Administrators ID. This Account Administrator will be able to manage the license operations such as, surrender a license and view the details of a license through the control centre.

Shoper 9 Control Centre

For a multi site account, your Account ID and Account Administrator's ID will be created based on your request. For example, AcmeCorp as the Account ID and admin@AcmeCorp.com as the Account Administrators ID. This Account Administrator will be able to manage the license operations such as, confirm a license, reject a license, surrender a license and view the details of a license for all the sites associated with this account. He can also manage sites and site administrator accounts through the control centre. While activating any site, you need to provide the Account ID to identify the account to which the site belongs. During the license activation for any site, you need to provide the Account ID, Site ID and the E-mail ID. This e-mail ID becomes the Site Administrators ID. For example, AcmeCorp as the Account ID, Crazy Fashions Bangalore as the Site ID and CrazyBlr@AcmeCorp.com as the Site Administrators ID. At each of your sites, the Site Administrator will be able to perform the surrender operations of the site license for which he is the administrator.

The Account Administrator can create Tally.NET Users who can perform administration activities, except license management. If such a Tally.NET User is linked to a site, then he can perform administration activities for the site. In case the Tally.NET User is not linked to a site, he can perform administration activities for all the sites in the account. Such Tally.NET Users are assigned privileges based on the Security Level defined for them.

Note: Any Tally.NET User can use the Support Centre, for posting queries. He can also view the responses provided to his queries. A Site Administrator can view queries posted by all Tally.NET Users in his site and provide solutions. In the case of a multi site account, the Account Administrator can view the queries posted by all the Tally.NET Users in all the sites linked to his account and provide solutions.
