Turning point in the history of quality occurred in Japan after World War II.

W. EDWARDS DEMING: He is widely acknowledged for his contributions to the reemergence of postwar Japan.

Considered as the founder of the quality management.

Statistical Process Control

- Methods of measuring variation and continuously improving work processes before the final inspection stage to prevent the production of flawed products.
Worker Involvement

- Workers could identify many of the necessary corrections, given the appropriate knowledge and support from management.
