CAN YOU FIND THE BEST DEAL?

You are going to try and find the best deal for each item. At the end, you will have saved yourself a lot of money. You are required to buy four things Broccoli, Turkey, Lucky Charms, and Milk. For each of the four items, you will be given three different prices from three different stores (Vons, Target, and Ralphs). You will need to set up a proportion for each item from each store. Solve for x in order to find the unit rate. You want to choose the lowest unit rate in order to get the best deal. You will record your answers on the worksheet given to you. You will also attach your work to the back of the worksheet.

2. Determine the lowest unit price for turkey. VONS 5 oz. for $7.55 TARGET 12 oz. for $13.44 RALPHS 16 oz. for $18.40

3. Determine the lowest unit price for Lucky Charms. VONS 12 oz. for $3.48 TARGET 16 oz. for $4.16 RALPHS 24 oz. for $6.72

4. Determine the lowest unit price for milk. VONS 1 gallon is $3.99 TARGET gallon is $2.29 RALPHS 1 gallons is $4.79

NOTE: 1 gallon = 4 quarts
