M [X] /M/1 Queue

Customers arrive in batches. Arrival of batches follows Poisson process with parameter . The number of customers in any batch is given by the random variable X. That is, if cx = P r{X = x}, then probability that an arriving batch is of size x is cx . We can view this arrival of batches as follows: If x is the arrival rate of a Poisson process of batches of size X, then clearly, x cx = , where = x x , the composition of Poisson processes. The service time distribution is exponential with parameter .
