Dr. R. Shriram - Director (Faculty Training Academy) and Professor - Dept of CSE has a long standing collaboration with Prof Abtar Kaur - Professor - Faculty of Education and Languages, Open University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the domain of online learning pedagogical models. Their collaboration has produced a new educational pedagogy for online learning called the S-CARE model a novel method for assessment of online discussion forums called the Q-4R framework. Two Conference papers have been published so far in the prestigious AAOU 2011 - Asian Association of Open Universities Annual Conference 25th International Conference held in Wawasan Open University, Penang, Malaysia 28-30 September 2011 Selected among the Best SIX papers among 137 ACCEPTED papers the International Conference on Lifelong learning - Open University of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 14-15 November 2011

Bangladesh
Prof Abtar Kaur and Shriram jointly conducted an International Workshop on Online Educational models in Daffodils International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh from 27 December to 31 December 2011.

USA
Funded proposal request for US Fulbright Specialist under the United States India Educational foundation 2012 programme with Prof Vijayan Sugumaran, Oakland University, USA was approved.

Trinidad and Tobago
