Early life and education

Dan Brown was born and raised in Exeter, New Hampshire, USA the eldest of three children All his young life he played with puzzles After graduating from Phillips Exeter, Brown attended Amherst College, where he was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity Songwriter and pop singer

Writing career
In 1996, Brown quit teaching to become a fulltime writer Digital Fortress was published in 1998 Brown subsequently wrote Angels & Demons and Deception Point, released in 2000 and 2001 respectively His fourth novel, The Da Vinci Code, became a bestseller The Lost Symbol, was released on September 15, 2009
