Early Life: Childhood
• Born in Honolulu, Hawaii 1961
• Taken care by his mother, Ann Dunham and grandparents
• Rarely saw his father
• Both parents passed

Early Life: College
• 1979 graduated high school
• Attended a Liberal Arts college in Los Angeles
• 1988 transferred Columbia university in New York
• Enrolled to Harvard and won the election as president
Important events
• According to one of his memoirs he talked about how he did drugs when he was young
so comfort himself about his black and white heritage
• In his 4 years as president he was able to:
 Address the wage gap between men and women
 Funded $6,000,000,000 to NASA
 Etc

• After his 4 years were up we was elected again.


• Even though his mother wasn’t with him after she passed, she taught Obama value
lessons
Successes
• His professors saw potential in Obama
• He met Michelle Obama at the law firm that he was working in
• Married 1992 and became parents of their two daughters Malia Ann and Natasha
• Michelle Obama is one of the most influential women in the world by launching
projects such as Let’s Move!, a campaign to solve childhood obesity
Successes
• Michelle is also famous for releasing her book “Becoming” which inspired many
women around the world
• After the Obama family left the White House in 2017, Obama is still solving many
issues that have significantly affected this society such as the Black Live Matter
movement.
• He later reveal plans about building a museum and a public gathering area about
himself and Michelle Obama
