 Barack Obama`s life
Barack Hussein Obama Jr was born on August 4th in 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father Barack
Hussein Obama Sr worked as an economist and his mother Stanley Ann Dunham worked as an
anthropologist in one of the universities in Honolulu. When the son was two years old, his parents
divorced.
Then Obama and his mother moved to Indonesia and after he had finished high school, he came to
study in Columbia University in Los Angeles in 1983. After several years he entered the Harvard
University School of Law. And in 1991 Obama graduated and returned to Chicago. He started
practicing law, mainly defending victims of various types of discrimination in court. He worked on
suffrage issues at a small law firm. Obama was a liberal and fought for people's rights.
Barack Obama has been married to Michelle Obama since 1992. They have 2 daughters: Malia and
Natasha Obama
 Politician career
Obama's political career began in the Illinois State Senate, where he represented
the Democratic Party for eight years, from 1997 to 2004. In 2000, Obama attempted
to run for election to the House of Representatives, but lost. On July 29, 2004,
during the election campaign, Obama delivered an address to the Democratic
National Convention. His speech, which was broadcast on television, brought
Obama wide fame in the United States. On January 3, 2008, the vote took place, and
Obama won. Since January 20, 2017, he has completed his presidential term.
