Pollution is one of the serious problems that the world nowadays is facing. The pollution is; making a change in the environment that surrounds the organisms by human-induced and daily activities that leads to the appearance of some resources that doesn't fit the place that we live in. Also most of the causes of pollution are human made by introduce some of the harmful materials to the air, water and soil. Pollution harms the earths environment and its inhabitants in many ways. There are three main types of pollution. First; land pollution, it is the pollution of the land surface by industrial, commercial and agricultural activities. Land pollution causes us to lose billions tons of top soil every year. Also lots of the items in landfills can be recycled, but theyre not. Second; air pollution, it is the collection of harmful gases around the earth that causes different diseases like; Cancer, Cholera and Anthrax. Every year thousands of people dies because of lung cancer, which is a direct result of air pollution. Everyday people are polluting the air without noticing that, by the uses of cars, factories and the wrong behaviors that increases the gas level in the air. Third; water pollution, it is the introduction of harmful chemical and physical matter into large amount of water. Water pollution causes a lot of harmful diseases such as; Salmonella and Shigella. Lots of pesticides are found in the groundwater because of the water pollution. The United States of America is one of the countries that solves the problem of pollution by setting different successful laws. These laws are; The Clean Air Act also gives EPA the authority to limit emissions of air pollutants coming from sources like chemical plants, utilities, and steel mills. Also setting wastewater standards for industry. They have also set water quality standards for all contaminants in surface waters. Actually these laws helps alot in decreasing the pollution levels in U.S.A and I hope that the other countries to set some of these laws to prevent and solve the problem of pollution.
