Summarize the phonetics:

Firstly, we have studied what is phonetics? We can define phonetics is the scientific study of the way Human make, Transmit, and Receive Sounds. It means that we focus on how human make speech sounds in general. There are 3 main kind of phonetics such as: - Articulatory phonetics: how speech sounds are produced. - Acoustic phonetics: how speech sounds are transmitted. - Auditory phonetics: how sounds are perceived and decoded. Moreover, we also learn that all the sounds produced in the English language are either voice and voiceless. Voiced occurs when the vocal cords vibrate when the sound is produced. However; if there is no vocal cord vibration when producing voiceless sounds. Furthermore; we can identify which word can be voiced and voiceless through the letter that finishes in the end of the word. For example, some letters such as: b, d, g, v, z, th, sz, m, are voiced and some letters such as: p, t, k, f, s, th, sh, ch, h, are voiceless. To distinguish between voiced and unvoiced sounds: - Put your hands over your ears and say the sounds. - Put your hands on your throat while saying the sounds. - Put a piece of paper in front of your mouth when saying the sounds. a) Consonants A consonant is a speech sound that is produced when the airstream is constricted or stopped (and then released) at some place along its path before it escapes from the body. Place of Articulation: is a point of contract for producing a speech sound. There are 8 places of articulations such as: Bilabial, Labio-dental, Dental, Alveolar, Palato-alveolar, Palatal, Velar, Glottal. Manner of Articulation: describes how the tongue, lips, and other speech organs are involved in making a sound contact. There ae 6 manner of articulations such as: Plosive, Afficative, Fricative, Nasal, Lateral/Liquid and Approximant. b) Vowels A vowel is a speech without constriction or stoppage. The system that describes vowels does so in terms 4 characteristics: tongue placement, tongue height, lip rounding and tenseness. There are 20 vowels and diphthongs.
2. The phonetics are useful to learner as a language such as: - Make the sound right that we speak out - Transmit in the right way of speaking - Receive the true thing that our partner produce - Avoid using voiced and voiceless we can distinguish between this two sounds
