Engedi Ein Gedi (Hebrew: caves of Qumran.

) is an oasis in Israel, located west of the Dead Sea, near Masada and the

Engedi Arts is based in Colwyn Bay, near the sea, the mountains and trees of Mochdre. The event was the Easter Story Exhibition .March 30th April 8th (Easter Sunday) 2012 which hosted 40 national and local artists through a diverse range of media, exposing work in familiar traditional styles, alongside projection, photography, installation, soundscapes and spoken word. To hear the spoken word. The Easter exhibition also hosted various small events at the Imperial Hotel in Colwyn Bay including a captivating opening night, various acoustic music performances, urban poetry, and a memorable closing Easter Feast. The project is led by Gavin Mart, and a band of enthusiasts. The space being a former derelict hotel is transformed

I saw the exhibition twice, one in the hanging, and then the opening. I saw the work, the extremes and the vision. I moved into the space, into the strong explainations of the story. The cross, though wooden, is blood, carried by the young, respected... The noose is many things, many days, many people.

Moved, I moved on to see the light.

Boxes, next to the sparkling, lift shaft, barriered, health and safety. we peered through a small hole, into this story.

Drawings move on animal skin, feet washed, hang cluttered, patterned within.

The bloody crown adorned with teeth and flies, once removed. Modern day, burger, never rotting, the story continued words, relighting interest.

Madonna, weeping, cut to pieces looked out at the robots, mosaicked traces of people.

Who worked here looked here, thought here, and grew.

I have heard it will continue.
