Emergency drug dosage

Adult Anaphylaxis
Adrenaline 1:1000 (1mg/ml) (Fridge Item) 500mcg ( 0.5 ml ) IM < 6 yr 150 mcg ( 0.15 ml ) 6-12 yr 300 mcg ( 0.3 ml ) IM 12-18 yr 500 mcg ( 0.5 ml ) 300 mcg ( 0.3 ml ) if child small or prepubertal <6 mth 0.25 mg / kg IM or 6mth - 6 yr 2.5 mg slow IV 6 - 12 yr 5 mg < 6 mth 25 mg IM or 6mth - 6 yr 50 mg slow IV 6 - 12 yr 100 mg 10mcg/kg (0.1ml /kg) Subsequent dose 100mcg/kg (1 ml / kg) 0.02mg/kg/dose, min 0.1mg/dose, max 1mg

Child

Piriton 10mg Hydrocortisone 100mg

10mg IM / slow IV 200mg IM / slow IV

Cardiac Arrest
Adrenaline 1:10000 (100mcg/ml) Atropine 1.2mg/ml (not used in cardiac arrest) Dextrose 50% 10g / 20 ml 1mg (10ml) IV every 3-5 min if needed 0.5-1mg IV Q5 min (max 2mg/dose) IV

Hypoglycemia
10 to 25g ( 20 to 50 ml ) IV Bolus of Dextrose 10% 2.5 ml/kg IV

Status Epilepticus
Diazepam Rectal suppository (2mg/ml)

Neonate : 1.25-2.5mg (0.25-0.5 tube) 10 mg (2 tubes) for >50kg 1 mth-1yr: 5mg (1 tube) 1 - 12 yr : 5mg (1 tube) Repeat once after 10 -15 min if needed
