THE SUN

by

Naman

Miles and miles towards the horizon on the east A flicker, a shimmer, a distinct radiation Creeps over the shallow streams and vested vales The ambiguity of a redeemer and forthcoming salvation

At unmatched velocity its children flow Alas, they will culminate in a glow

The glow should make you believe That all men if ever longed it to achieve It would not occur, you fool, you thief! Your great expectations you leave!

My hopes and expectations lie in you, O sphere of fire! I bow against you, O mighty Sire! As to your might will never fail its discipline Redeem me, redeem me , O sphere of fire!

You please my eyes and burn them too! Yet without you I would see a few Your grandeur seems better than the best stew! My passion for you always grew!

You make me work, You make me sweat! Under you I am at my best As the night approaches and you cease I advise you to retire, to a deep rest
